As a Power Electronics Firmware Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our product development, responsible for power electronics firmware solutions for our next-generation power electronics systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software engineers, and product managers, to develop robust power supplies that drive the performance and functionality of our innovative products.

Job Description

  • Design and develop controller firmware for power supplies, DC-DC converters, and other power converters.
  • Implement control solutions in embedded controllers using programming languages including
  • C and C++ as well as PLD programming languages.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of embedded software products and components throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Participate in embedded control system design, including digital and analog circuits.
  • Conduct and participate in design and project risk assessments, FMEA/DFMEA and design reviews.
  • Identifying cost-competitive technological alternatives suitable for space application.
  • Support technical documentation.

Desired Qualification

  • Bachelors/Masters in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Must have 2+ years of professional experience developing power electronics firmware with embedded software, microcontrollers, Digital signal processors, FPGAs, etc.
  • Experienced in architecture, design, and development of embedded software to interface and control power converters and drives.
  • Design and debug experience for peripherals needed for power converter control such PWMs, ADCs, SPIs, and timers.
  • Experience with serial communication protocols (I2C, RS-485, RS-232, CAN, SPI).
  • Familiar with industry standard embedded design and debugging tools (Oscilloscopes, EMC analyzers, power sources, JTAG, protocol analyzers, emulators).
  • Understanding of closed-loop control of power converters and familiarity with circuit simulation tools like PSIM, LTSPICE, SIMULINK will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with hardware schematics, PCB design, and ability to work with the hardware team to define software requirements.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
