- Gather and analyse system requirements relevant to the software and electronics aspect of the system including communication, operating modes, diagnostics and validation requirements.
- Full requirements management regarding software deliverables both internally and with relevant suppliers and customers.
- Derive software requirements based on system requirements including control strategy, general system functions, derating strategies etc.
- Responsible for software and electronics system integration and validation. Coding not the primary requirements for this position but needs good hands on development experience.
- Ensure system integration with the vehicle in terms of software interfaces, communication protocols, diagnostics and sign-off.
- Responsible to manage software packages across platforms
- Liaise with production team to implement EOL testing for electronic / software aspects of the system.
- Lead or support issue resolution tasks using root cause analysis methods
- Support system and sub-system level DFMEA activities
Tools, Method
- CAN and Diagnostic Tools (SAE J1939)
- Root cause analysis (5 Whys, 8 Ds, etc)
- FMEA, DRBFM or equivalent analysis methods
Profile
- Education: Bachelor / Masters in electronics / systems / software engineering or equivalent field of study
- 4-8 years’ experience in software design, communication protocols and / or software test and validation (Fault Insertion Testing)
- Experience in automotive sector will be a plus

- Ability to work with multi locational teams
- Ability to travel domestic and international for short / medium durations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Language skills in any other European language is a plus.
