We are seeking a skilled QA engineer with experience in the manufacturing domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, automation tools and proficiency in scripting languages like Java, Ruby, VB scripting along with SQL. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our manufacturing software products through rigorous testing and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and scripts to ensure the quality of software releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Perform manual (smoke, functional, regression, integration) and automated testing of web and windows-based applications.
- Analyse data using SQL to validate system behavior and troubleshoot issues.
- Deploy the build/code in test environment using Unix/Linux.
- Identify and report bugs error and performance issues, and work with the developer to resolve them.
- Design, implement, maintain manual test suites using industry-standard tools like Test Rail and Jira.
- Design, automate, maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools like Selenium, UFT, Rest Assured.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics or related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Proficient in either Java or ruby scripting for test automation
- Proficient in writing clear and concise test cases.
- Solid knowledge on SQL and Linux
- Experience with automated testing tools like UFT, Selenium, Rest assured.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified in software testing (e.g. ISTQB)
- Knowledge on CI/CD tools and pipelines
