Key Responsibilities
The individual must possess a strong understanding of the selection of electronic components, designing the circuit (including power, digital, and analog), as well as verification, compliance and regulatory testing methodologies.
- The individual should be able to comprehend the changing requirements of the product, and the redesign must be executed in accordance to the modifications of the circuit, software, mechanical components, or fitment adjustments.
- The individual must be capable of project planning and be able to demonstrate commitment to the proposed schedule.
- The individual should have a solid background in hardware testing using laboratory equipment and must possess skills in hardware-software integration and debugging.
- The individual must have the ability to implement cost-saving measures in redesign efforts without compromising quality, compliance and sustainability.
- The individual should possess comprehensive PCB design and knowledge to address issues encountered during component placement, routing, and other constraints.
- The individual should demonstrate strong capabilities in delivering projects on time by effectively leading the team within a structured environment and adhering to proper guidelines.
- The individual must be open to accepting changes from the customer during the project; should be able to evaluate and develop a well-defined plan to meet deadlines.
- The individual should have adequate knowledge of embedded software integration and testing of Printed circuit boards in accordance with mechanical change requirements as well as fitment needs.
Work Experience
Skills & Competencies:
- PCB Design: Schematic capture, layout design (Cadence System Capture / Altium / OrCAD), signal & power integrity
- Harness Design: Cable routing, connector selection, Electrical routing
- Documentation: BOM creation, test reports, change documentation, DFM/DFT analysis
- Basic sourcing and cost analysis understanding
- Excellent cross functional collaboration, communication & experience
- Analytical skills for testing, validation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- EMC/EMI/ESD testing awareness
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to details
- Knowledge on CE/UL, IEC 60601-1 (Electrical safety and performance), ISO 14971 (risk management), IPC standards (reliability)
- Knowledge on RoHS and REACH for material selections
- Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, system-level understanding, attention to detail, ownership.
- Knowledge on Healthcare device compliance and regulatory requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
•Experience of 7 to 10 Years, B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE).
