Role Description
This is a flexible hybrid internship opportunity for a Silicon Photonics Design Engineer located in Bhubaneswar. The intern will be responsible for developing silicon photonic components, designing and simulating photonic devices, and collaborating with research and engineering teams to test prototypes. Tasks also include analyzing optical performance data and optimizing designs for functionality, efficiency, and manufacturability in alignment with project objectives.
Qualifications
- Minimum experience in photonic device design, modeling, and simulations
- Experience with tools such as Lumerical, Synopsys, Tidy3D or similar software
- Basic understanding of silicon photonics, waveguide design, and fabrication processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in optical systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
