Taoglas has updated its Antenna Integrator tool with features for antenna selection, PCB placement and RF design evaluation. The update is aimed at RF engineers, PCB designers and product developers who need to select antennas and evaluate different configurations during the early stages of product development.

The update introduces improved filtering that allows engineers to narrow antenna options based on RF characteristics, placement options and physical dimensions. This can help them identify antennas that match the requirements of a particular product without having to evaluate the entire antenna library.

For PCB designers, the tool now supports corner-mounted antennas, including mirrored placement where applicable. Engineers can use these options to evaluate different antenna positions and optimise PCB layouts based on available board space and placement requirements.

The update also adds support for high-precision, multi-port GNSS antennas that require multiple RF ports and combiners. Engineers developing products that use GNSS can evaluate these more complex antenna configurations within the tool, rather than limiting the evaluation to single-port antenna arrangements.

Antenna Integrator also includes a broader antenna library covering Taoglas cellular, Wi-Fi, GNSS and NTN antennas. RF engineers and product developers can use the expanded library to explore different antenna options and evaluate configurations for their specific designs.

The tool is intended to support antenna evaluation earlier in the product development process, allowing engineers to consider RF characteristics, physical dimensions and PCB placement together when selecting an antenna.

The latest update also includes usability improvements and bug fixes to make the tool easier to use during antenna selection and design evaluation.
