The new miniature switches provide several types of actuator arrangements and mounting methods with contacts suitable for industrial equipment, telecommunication devices and Internet of Things (IoT).
Same Sky has developed three new ranges of DIP (Dual In-line Package) piano switches which are designed for small-footprint electronic devices. They include the DS06-127-SMT, DS07-254 and DS08-254-SMT series that have the minimal dimensions of width 6 mm and height 4.2 mm. These switches are designed to be used in industrial, commercial, telecommunication and IoT equipment where board size and configurability play an important role.
The three product lines provide options of switch positions from 2 up to 10 that allow selecting the configurations based on system needs. They can have flush or raised actuators and support both surface mount and through-hole mounting.

In terms of electrical characteristics, the piano DIP switches can switch currents of 25 mA and can work with non-switching currents of 100 mA. The maximum switching voltage for the switches is 24 VDC, and the maximum non-switching voltage is 50 VDC. These components operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and are good for electronic equipment with different operating environments.
The DS06-127-SMT, DS07-254, and DS08-254-SMT series of components are distributed, and the lead time ranges from stock to eight weeks.
