Emerson has introduced the Rosemount™ 350A High Performance pH/ORP Sensor, a digital measurement solution designed for harsh industrial environments. The sensor is intended to deliver reliable pH and oxidation-reduction potential (pH/ORP) measurements while simplifying installation and maintenance through a plug-and-play digital connection.

The new sensor addresses common challenges encountered in high-temperature, high-pressure and retractable installations, where conventional analogue sensors can suffer from electrical noise, wiring complexity and limited diagnostic capabilities. By converting and transmitting pH/ORP data digitally, the device helps improve measurement stability and enables operators to obtain dependable readings more quickly.

Equipped with a digital Modbus interface and M12 quick-connect cabling, the sensor supports straightforward commissioning while reducing manual wiring errors. Its design also enables interoperability across compatible digital liquid analysis sensors, allowing facilities to simplify spare parts management and standardise equipment across multiple sites.

The Rosemount™ 350A stores calibration records, diagnostic information and event history within the sensor itself. This feature provides maintenance teams with additional operational insight, helping them troubleshoot problems more effectively, support bench calibration workflows and plan preventative maintenance based on sensor health indicators.

Designed specifically for demanding process environments, the sensor is available with retractable mounting configurations, titanium body options and selectable reference electrolytes. These features help improve durability and maintain measurement performance in applications where high temperatures, elevated pressures, coating or poisoning conditions can shorten sensor lifespan.

According to Emerson, the combination of plug-and-play connectivity, onboard diagnostics and integrated calibration storage is intended to simplify commissioning while increasing confidence in process measurements. The company says the new sensor enables industrial operators to reduce maintenance complexity and devote more time to maintaining accurate and reliable process control.
