How can industrial and medical equipment remain easy to read outdoors? A bright display combines wide viewing angles with flexible interfaces for embedded designs.

DISPLAY VISIONS has introduced a 4.3-inch TFT display module designed to keep information visible in bright environments, including direct sunlight. With a luminance of 1,100cd/m², the display targets industrial and medical equipment where users need to read screen content under varying lighting conditions.
The module uses in-plane switching (IPS) technology to maintain contrast and colour consistency when viewed from different angles. Its usable viewing angle extends approximately 85° in all directions, compared with around 45° to 55° for conventional TFT displays. The company’s all-angle colour stability management (AACS) further helps maintain consistent colour reproduction across the viewing range.
For embedded-system developers, the display offers different interface options depending on the model, including SPI, RGB and 8-bit or 16-bit data buses. This flexibility can help designers integrate the module into control panels, medical instruments and other electronic equipment without relying on a single interface configuration.
Designed for industrial environments, the display operates at temperatures from −20°C to +70°C, while selected versions support −30°C to +85°C. The manufacturer also plans long-term availability to support equipment designs with extended product lifecycles.
Developers can evaluate the display using an optional USB test board. The accompanying startTFT.exe simulation tool allows users to configure and preview their own images and rotate screen content in 90-degree increments. Additional test and adapter boards are available for connecting the module to different development environments.
