Littelfuse, Inc., an industrial technology manufacturing company, has launched AEC-Q200 Rev E Certified Fuses. The company claims the fuses are designed to meet the rigorous circuit protection requirements of compact automotive electronics and electric vehicle (EV) systems. The fuses are suited for various automotive electronics designs. These include On-Board Chargers (OBCs), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Battery Management Systems (BMS), high voltage DC/DC converters, ignition systems, sensing line protection, as well as infotainment and navigation systems. Furthermore, they’re also apt for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Radar, and Emergency Call (E-Call) applications. This latest lineup features a variety of fuses, including thin film, Nano, PICO, and cartridge types, all of which satisfy the AEC-Q200 Rev E standards, guaranteeing enduring reliability in challenging automotive settings.

The press release says the fuses deliver consistent performance and high I²t values, ensuring a robust capacity to withstand inrush currents. They offer extensive component choices, granting designers flexibility in safeguarding circuits against unexpected overloads and surge events. The fuses come with several notable features. They are AEC-Q200 qualified, ensuring top-tier standards for automotive electronics. One of their primary attributes is the rapid response to irregular currents, providing over-current protection to delicate electronic components. They can operate efficiently within a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. They are also environmentally conscious, 100% lead-free, halogen-free, and fully compliant with Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) standards.
