DEBIX introduces a powerful industrial edge computer combining Linux application processing with dedicated real-time cores for automation, robotics, smart manufacturing, and embedded AI applications.
DEBIX has introduced the T62P-01, a new industrial edge computer designed to deliver reliable real-time performance for demanding industrial and embedded computing applications. Unlike hobbyist single-board computers intended primarily for prototyping, the T62P-01 targets factory automation, robotics, edge AI and intelligent gateway systems where deterministic operation and long-term reliability are essential.
At the heart of the board is the Texas Instruments Sitara AM62P processor, which combines four Arm Cortex-A53 application cores running at up to 1.4 GHz with two dedicated Cortex-R5F real-time cores operating at up to 800 MHz. This heterogeneous architecture allows Linux or Android to manage user applications while the real-time cores execute time-critical tasks such as motor control, industrial automation and device management using bare-metal software or FreeRTOS.
The board is available with 2 GB, 4 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4 memory and features dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) support for deterministic industrial communications. One Ethernet interface also supports optional Power over Ethernet (PoE), while wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
For multimedia and vision applications, the T62P-01 supports dual-channel LVDS or MIPI DSI displays, a four-lane MIPI CSI interface for cameras up to 13 megapixels, and an Imagination IMG BXS-4-64 graphics processor compatible with OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.2 and OpenCL 1.2 EP. Although it does not include a dedicated neural processing unit, AI workloads can still run on the Cortex-A53 CPU cores or GPU.
Additional industrial features include a 40-pin expansion header with UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, PWM and GPIO interfaces, JTAG debugging, USB-C debug access, secure boot, hardware cryptography, and support for Linux, Android and FreeRTOS. Designed for industrial edge deployments, the DEBIX T62P-01 offers a flexible platform for robotics, smart terminals, edge computing and other mission-critical embedded applications.
