A new range of rugged industrial Ethernet switches combines Layer 3 networking, PoE++, 10G uplinks, and hardened designs to deliver reliable connectivity for automation, surveillance, utilities, transportation, and smart infrastructure.

D-Link has expanded its industrial networking portfolio with four new Ethernet switches—the DIS-310G-24X Layer 3 Managed Switch, DIS-210G-12 Smart Managed Switch, DIS-210G-12UP Smart Managed PoE Switch, and DIS-100E-05 Unmanaged Industrial Switch—designed to provide reliable connectivity in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. The range targets applications where conventional enterprise networking equipment struggles due to extreme temperatures, vibration, electrical noise, and power fluctuations.
The key features are:
- Supports ERPS ring redundancy with sub-50 ms network failover.
- Dual-input DC power support on entry-level unmanaged model for redundant power.
- Loopback detection and cable diagnostics simplify network troubleshooting.
- DIN-rail and wall-mount installation options for industrial cabinets.
- Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE) reduces power consumption during low network activity.
The flagship DIS-310G-24X is a Layer 3 managed industrial switch built for high-capacity industrial backbones and network aggregation. It integrates 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports, four Gigabit SFP fiber uplinks, and four 10G SFP+ interfaces, enabling high-bandwidth connectivity for large industrial networks. Advanced Layer 3 routing, Quality of Service (QoS), and security features support traffic segmentation between operational technology (OT) and enterprise IT networks. The switch also supports ERPS ring redundancy, delivering sub-50 ms recovery during network failures to minimize downtime in mission-critical applications.
For medium-sized industrial deployments, the DIS-210G-12 offers eight Gigabit Ethernet ports and four Gigabit SFP uplinks with web-based smart management. Designed for simpler deployment without command-line configuration, it provides centralized monitoring and resilient network operation for distributed automation and surveillance systems.
The DIS-210G-12UP extends these capabilities by integrating Power over Ethernet. It provides six PoE+ ports supporting up to 30 W each and two PoE++ ports delivering up to 60 W per port, allowing both data and power to be supplied through a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies installations for high-power edge devices such as PTZ surveillance cameras, wireless access points, IP intercoms, access control systems, and IoT gateways while reducing wiring complexity and installation costs.
Completing the lineup, the DIS-100E-05 is a compact five-port unmanaged Fast Ethernet industrial switch intended for small automation systems, remote monitoring nodes, and legacy industrial equipment. Its plug-and-play operation, redundant DC power input, and energy-efficient Ethernet support provide an economical option for extending industrial connectivity.
Across the entire portfolio, the switches feature IP40-rated metal enclosures, fanless cooling, 6 kV surge protection on all Ethernet ports, and operating temperatures ranging from -40°C to +75°C. These rugged characteristics make the switches suitable for industrial automation, smart manufacturing, mining, transportation, utilities, outdoor surveillance, agriculture, building management systems, and remote infrastructure where network reliability is critical.
