CUI Devices has introduced the CMS waterproof speaker series to its existing line of speakers. The speakers will enable designers to build more robust products which can be used in damp and harsh environments. The waterproof speakers come in both round and rectangular frame shapes making it easier for designers to fit a speaker without having to modify the design. The new CMS waterproof speaker models feature sound pressure levels from 85 to 108 dB and packages from 15 mm up to 57 mm with profiles as low as 2.5 mm.

The speakers run on nominal inputs from 0.8 to 3 W, and impedance ratings of 4 or 8 ohms and deliver sound pressure levels from 85 to 108 dB. These waterproof speakers come in rectangular or round frame shapes, solder pad or spring contact mounting styles, and PEEK, PEI, or PET cone types. The CMS models are available starting at $1.16 per unit.
