Micro Gas Chromatograph Aims Global Deployment

DynamiQ-X universal: a next generation micro-gas chromatograph built for global deployment

Qmicro by Sensirion has launched the DynamiQ-X universal, a micro-gas chromatograph (micro-GC) designed for continuous gas composition analysis in industrial processes and factory automation. The new analyser is built to meet international safety and compliance requirements, allowing it to be deployed across multiple global markets using a standardised configuration.

The system is certified to ATEX, IECEx and cQPSus standards, enabling use in hazardous industrial environments across Europe, North America and other regions. By supporting multiple certification schemes in a single product, the analyser reduces the need for market-specific variants, helping multinational organisations simplify equipment deployment and maintenance across different facilities.

Designed for continuous gas monitoring, the compact analyser delivers a complete gas composition analysis in around 30 seconds. It uses micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)-based micro-GC technology to provide rapid measurements while maintaining a small footprint suitable for industrial installations.

The analyser also incorporates backflush-to-detector technology, which performs simultaneous foreflush and backflush analysis. According to the company, this approach helps protect the gas chromatography column from contamination, extending its operational life while maintaining measurement performance. A permanently attached explosion-rated cable is included to ensure consistent installation practices and reduce variability during deployment at hazardous sites.

The module is intended for industrial process control and factory automation applications where continuous gas analysis is required. The standardised hardware configuration allows the same instrument to be deployed across different regions without changes to meet local certification requirements.
