A new embedded vision platform combines AI processing, camera integration, wireless connectivity and power management to accelerate development of edge-based intelligent imaging systems for devices.

Phytec has introduced the phyVIP platform, a development solution designed to speed up embedded AI vision projects by bringing key vision and connectivity functions together on a compact hardware platform. The system targets applications that need onboard AI processing, helping developers build intelligent vision devices closer to the point where data is generated.
The platform adds an integration layer on top of Phytec’s existing system-on-modules, bringing functions such as camera connectivity, Wi-Fi communication and a wide-range power supply into the development setup. This approach is intended to reduce the amount of additional hardware and integration work required when creating embedded vision systems.
