GW Instek has released a new series of Multi-Channel hipot safety testers. The new GPT-9500 series has two models both featuring a large color display and various features. Both the models have a built-in 8-channel scanner and a three-in-one multi-channel tester, providing an AC withstanding voltage of 5kV, a DC withstanding voltage of 6kV, and insulation resistance of up to 1000V. The 9500 series also have a feature to avoid incorrect results caused by the disconnection of wire.

The GPT-9500 series comes equipped with a 4.3′ color LCD with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, which displays complete measurement information and has a user-friendly operation interface, which according to the company makes operation and setting parameters easier and more convenient. The module’s AUTO test supports a tabular display, that allows the user to see all the test results in a single frame, it also provides a statistical counting function. The model comes with 3 language options which include English,  Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese  The layout of the device is such that all scanning channels are all configured on the rear panel of the tester. The tester also features a disconnection detection function which helps in avoiding the misjudgment of the test caused by the disconnection of the wire.

The GPT-9500 series also comes with the export/import function of setting parameters, which allows copying the settings of one tester to the same model testers on the production line through a USB flash drive. This feature can help eliminate the risk of errors caused by repeated inputs while pacing up the expansion of the test stations of the production lines.
