The ECOVACS WINBOT mini 2 combines 8,000Pa suction, ultrasonic water spraying and rotating corner brushes in a 55mm-thick robot designed to clean windows and other smooth surfaces.

Cleaning windows, particularly in high-rise apartments, can be difficult and risky. The ECOVACS WINBOT mini 2 addresses this task with a compact robot that attaches to glass using suction and moves across the surface while a cleaning pad and rotating brushes remove dirt. Its 55mm-thick body is designed to access windows and other smooth surfaces, reducing the need for people to reach awkwardly across glass panes.
The WINBOT mini 2 uses a fan to create reduced air pressure beneath its body, helping it remain attached to vertical glass while moving. ECOVACS specifies suction performance of up to 8,000Pa. This figure describes the suction capability rather than the robot’s total holding force, which also depends on the effective sealed area and the quality of contact with the surface.
Measuring approximately 215mm across and 55mm thick, the robot combines its suction system with a motorised cleaning pad and four rotating corner brushes. The pad applies a reported 14N of pressure to the glass, while the brushes operate at up to 84 revolutions per minute. They are designed to clean close to window frames, reaching within 1mm of the edges, according to ECOVACS.
For cleaning, the WINBOT mini 2 uses ultrasonic spraying to produce water droplets as small as 10 micrometres. The system draws water from a 230ml tank and sprays it onto the glass to help loosen dirt before the cleaning pad passes over the surface. This combination of spraying, pad contact and rotating brushes is intended to clean glass more consistently than relying on a dry wiping mechanism alone.
Users can control the WINBOT mini 2 through the ECOVACS HOME app using Bluetooth. The robot is designed for surfaces including windows, full-length mirrors, glass partitions and tiled bathroom walls. Its compact body makes it suitable for a range of household cleaning tasks, although users should check surface compatibility and follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions.
Safety is particularly important when a robot operates on vertical glass. ECOVACS says the WINBOT mini 2 can remain attached for more than 30 minutes using its internal battery if the main power supply is interrupted. A 3.3m safety rope, rated to withstand a force of 1,600N, provides additional protection against falling. The rope must be secured to a suitable anchor inside the room before operation. These safeguards reduce the risk of a fall but do not remove the need for proper installation and supervision.
The WINBOT mini 2 is intended to make window cleaning more convenient, particularly in homes with large glass panes and hard-to-reach windows. In India, where apartment living often involves extensive glazing and glass balconies, such a device could help reduce the need to reach across windows during routine cleaning. Buyers should consider the available service support, surface compatibility and app requirements alongside the robot’s cleaning capabilities.
