Need a power supply for a small control panel? This 30W model fits in less space, supports easy installation, adjustable output, and built-in protection.

RECOM has expanded its REFIN DIN rail power supply family with the REFIN2U-S30, a 30W power supply designed for applications where installation space is limited. It uses the same 36mm-wide, 2U step-shape design introduced with the earlier 90W REFIN2U-S90 model but targets lower-power systems such as home and building automation.
The REFIN2U-S30 is available with 12VDC and 24VDC output options and delivers up to 30W of continuous power. It accepts a wide AC input range of 85VAC to 305VAC. The output voltage can be adjusted from 10.8VDC to 13.2VDC for the 12V version and from 21.6VDC to 26.4VDC for the 24V version. The power supply reaches efficiency of up to 90% while consuming less than 100mW under no-load conditions.
The compact module measures 36 × 94 × 55mm, making it suitable for flat-panel distribution boards and other installations with limited space. It uses spring-loaded push-in terminals that support both solid and stranded wires, allowing tool-free wiring without ferrules. Rear mounting flaps also let users install the unit directly on a back panel in any orientation, even without a DIN rail.
The power supply is designed for building automation, control panels, industrial control systems, and other low-power applications that require a compact DIN rail power source.
The REFIN2U-S30 provides its full 30W output from -40°C to +55°C and can continue operating at ambient temperatures up to +90°C with output derating. Built-in protection includes short-circuit, over-current, and over-voltage protection with hiccup mode and automatic recovery. Reinforced insulation provides 4kVAC isolation between the input and output. The unit is also rated for overvoltage category (OVC) III operation at altitudes up to 3000m and OVC II operation up to 5000m.
“With the introduction of the REFIN2U-S30, RECOM broadens the REFIN2U portfolio within a common mechanical platform, allowing designers to scale across different power levels while maintaining the same compact 2U form factor and installation concept,” comments Michael Schrutka, MSc, Product Manager AC/DC of RECOM.
