Powerful AI PCs Target Creators

A new generation of AI-focused creator laptops and mini PCs promises desktop-class AI computing, support for massive local language models, and advanced content creation workflows in thinner, more portable designs.

Powerful AI PCs Target Creators

A new lineup of AI creator PCs from ASUS aims to redefine local AI computing for creators, developers, and power users. Built around a next-generation AI superchip architecture, the systems deliver up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and up to 128GB of unified memory, enabling workloads previously reserved for high-end workstations and cloud platforms.

The new devices include two creator-focused laptops and a compact mini PC designed to run advanced AI applications locally. According to the company, users can generate 4K AI videos, edit 12K video footage, render 90GB-plus of 3D scenes, and run large language models with up to 120 billion parameters and context windows of up to 1 million tokens.

The key features are:

  • Up to 1 petaflop of AI computing performance
  • Up to 128GB unified memory architecture
  • Runs 120B-parameter LLMs locally with up to 1M-token context
  • Supports 4K AI video generation and 12K video editing
  • Compact mini PC and thin OLED-equipped creator laptops

At the heart of the platform is a new AI-focused architecture that combines a Blackwell-based RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores, paired with a 20-core Grace CPU via a high-bandwidth chip-to-chip interconnect. The unified memory design allows AI models and creative applications to access a shared memory pool, improving efficiency for demanding workloads.

The laptops feature OLED displays targeted at creative professionals, with support for up to 4K at 120Hz, variable refresh rates, high brightness, and factory-calibrated colour accuracy. Despite the performance gains, the systems are designed to remain thin and lightweight, with larger battery capacities intended to support all-day use.

Beyond hardware, the platform integrates AI-powered creative tools and workflow software. Resource management utilities, AI-assisted content organisation, and generative AI applications are built into the ecosystem, while compatibility extends to more than 1,000 accelerated applications and games. Software partners are also optimising major creative applications to take advantage of the new architecture.

The compact mini PC brings the same AI capabilities into a small desktop footprint, offering high-speed networking, PCIe Gen 5 expansion, and enhanced thermal capacity for sustained AI and rendering workloads. Availability is expected to begin in select markets during fall 2026.
