JDI-K has introduced its 13.3-inch 4K2K Rugged Plus TFT display, designed to deliver high-resolution visuals while withstanding demanding operating conditions. The display combines high brightness, increased pixel density and mechanical durability for equipment used in industrial, military, aerospace and outdoor environments.

The display uses LTPS technology, supporting a high-resolution panel format suited to applications where detailed visual information is important. Its design targets systems that require clear images while operating under challenging environmental conditions.

According to JDI-K, the Rugged Plus display supports an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, allowing it to be deployed in both cold and high-temperature environments. This makes the display suitable for field-deployed systems where conventional consumer-oriented panels may face operational limitations.

The display is also designed to withstand electrostatic discharge, mechanical shock and vibration. These characteristics are intended to support dependable operation in demanding applications, including fully rugged laptops, military and defence equipment, aerospace instrumentation and advanced industrial systems.

JDI-K also highlights the display’s visual performance, including exceptional clarity, high resolution, high brightness and increased pixel density. Support for Zero Bright Dot Defect standards is intended to maintain consistent image quality across the panel.

The combination of a large 13.3-inch format, 4K2K resolution and rugged construction gives system designers an option for applications where both detailed information and environmental resilience are required. Such displays can be particularly useful in mobile equipment that must operate outside controlled indoor environments.

The new panel could therefore support next-generation rugged computing and instrumentation platforms, providing operators with clearer visual information without compromising durability. Its wide operating temperature range and resistance to physical stresses further extend its suitability for specialised electronics deployed in harsh conditions.
