Littelfuse has introduced the C&K TSC Series Toggle Safety Covers, designed to prevent accidental activation of toggle switches in critical control systems. The spring-loaded covers provide a physical barrier over the switch, enabling deliberate one-handed operation while reducing the risk of unintended equipment actuation across industrial and transportation applications.
Accidental switch activation can result in equipment damage, unplanned downtime and potential safety hazards, particularly in environments where control panels operate under vibration, frequent handling or harsh conditions. The safety covers are intended to improve operational reliability without requiring engineers to redesign existing hardware, making them suitable for both new installations and retrofit projects.
The TSC Series combines a stainless-steel faceplate with a glossy black finish and a durable ABS protective cover available in multiple colours to help operators identify critical functions. The spring-loaded mechanism allows quick access to the switch while ensuring it remains protected when not in use. Designed as a drop-in replacement, the covers fit standard 12.0mm (15/32in) mounting holes and accommodate toggle switch lever heights of up to 25mm, supporting compatibility with a broad range of existing switch designs.
Built for demanding operating conditions, the covers are intended for industrial control equipment, commercial and off-road vehicles, marine systems, aerospace platforms and military applications where preventing unintended switch operation is essential. By combining mechanical protection with straightforward operation and retrofit compatibility, the design offers engineers a practical way to enhance control panel safety while maintaining ease of use and system flexibility.
