A new intelligent electric lock series brings biometric access, remote management, and smart security integration to homes, offices, and SME facilities with support for multiple door types and connected access systems.

A new intelligent electric lock series has been introduced by Hikvision for residential, commercial, and SME applications, expanding the growing market for integrated smart access control solutions. The launch focuses on combining biometric authentication, remote access management, and interoperability with broader security ecosystems in a single platform.
The lock series is designed to support multiple unlocking methods, including fingerprint recognition, PIN access, RFID cards, mobile app control, mechanical keys, and remote OTP-based entry. The system aims to simplify access management while reducing dependence on conventional keys in homes and business environments.
One of the key highlights is its universal installation design, allowing deployment on left-opening, right-opening, indoor, and outdoor doors without requiring separate configurations. The product is also compatible with wooden, metal, and PVC doors, enabling wider adoption across varied infrastructure setups.
The intelligent locking platform integrates with surveillance cameras, alarms, video door phones, and access control terminals to create a connected security environment. Selected variants feature built-in camera and doorbell functionality, enabling users to visually verify visitors and communicate remotely before granting entry.
The key tech features are:
- Multi-mode access with fingerprint, PIN, RFID, app, OTP, and key entry
- AI-based fingerprint recognition with adaptive learning
- Remote lock management and access log monitoring via mobile app
- Integration with cameras, alarms, and video door phone systems
- IP65-rated weather-resistant design with auto-lock and tamper alerts
The lock includes AI-powered fingerprint recognition technology that reportedly unlocks doors in less than a second while continuously improving recognition accuracy through adaptive learning. Additional security features include auto-locking, tamper alerts, break-in alarms, anti-peep PIN protection, and a high-grade lock cylinder.
Designed for continuous operation, the system offers extended battery backup with low-power alerts and an emergency USB-C power option. Its stainless-steel construction and high-cycle durability are intended for long-term use in high-traffic installations. An IP65-rated weather-resistant design also supports outdoor deployment on gates and main entrances. The launch reflects increasing demand for integrated smart home and building security solutions that combine physical access control with connected monitoring and remote management capabilities.
