As industrial automation expands, engineers need control panels that are simple to use and quick to connect to existing systems. Traditional Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) setups often require separate displays and complex programming.

To simplify this, DISPLAY VISIONS introduces a new range of touch-based interface panels that work directly with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

The new EA Human-Machine Interface (HMI series) helps users design and run control screens for machinery and automation systems without extra hardware or costly software. The panels come in sizes from 2.8 to 12 inches and feature high-brightness displays of 1,000 cd/m², making them readable even in strong light or outdoor environments.

The panels are designed for quick setup. They support Modbus RTU (serial communication) and Modbus TCP (Ethernet communication), two common protocols used by PLCs. This makes them compatible with over 20 major PLC brands including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Finder OPTA, Teknic, and Beckhoff.

For users designing their own control screens, DISPLAY VISIONS provides a free software tool called HMI Designer. It allows users to drag and drop elements such as numbers, text boxes, or bar graphs, and link them to data from the PLC. Once connected, the display automatically updates with live values, and touch inputs can trigger actions like switching screens or changing settings.

The displays can handle various Modbus data types, such as coil, input, and holding registers, and can also process 32-bit floating-point values for precise calculations. They can be mounted on a wall or front panel, depending on the setup.

The EA HMI series is aimed at engineers building or upgrading PLC-based systems that need clear visual feedback, flexible design, and reliable operation.
