A UPS keeps equipment running during power cuts and provides battery backup for industrial, telecom, commercial, retail, and IT systems.

Toshiba International Corporation has launched the 1610XPi Series, a single-phase UPS for supplying power to equipment during power interruptions. The series is available in 6kVA and 10kVA models and is designed for industrial facilities, commercial buildings, telecom systems, retail operations, and IT environments.
The UPS uses true online double-conversion technology to supply continuous power to connected equipment. It supports a unity power factor of 1.0, allowing the rated output power to be used. Its input voltage range allows it to handle changes in incoming power.
The 1610XPi Series has an isolation transformer that provides galvanic isolation between the input and output. This helps reduce electrical noise, provides grounding options, limits fault current, and separates utility power from connected equipment.
The system supports 120V, 208V, and 240V output voltages. It also supports different receptacle output panels and programmable smart outlet groups for managing connected loads.
The UPS has an internal battery system and supports additional battery options for longer runtime. The battery charging capacity can be adjusted based on the application. The system can also operate as a power conditioner without the battery. Its CVCF frequency converter mode provides another operating option.
For monitoring, the 1610XPi Series is compatible with RemotEye 5. The initial models include the RMTI-5 monitoring interface.
The series comes with a three-year on-site warranty and is intended for applications where power interruptions can affect equipment operation and business continuity.
“The launch of the 1610XPi Series marks the next step in the evolution of Toshiba’s single-phase UPS offerings and reinforces our commitment to providing customers with innovative and dependable critical power solutions,” said Greg Mack, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Power Electronics Division, Toshiba International Corporation. “As we continue to expand our portfolio, the 1610XPi is designed to deliver the flexibility, performance, and reliability organisations need to support today’s critical operations while preparing for future growth.”
