Telit Cinterion has launched the SE868K5-RTK module, a high-precision Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver with centimeter-level accuracy. It’s designed for operation near cellular or other radios and features optimal immunity for precision applications. Compact at 11×11 mm, it fits easily in size-constrained scenarios and is part of the scalable xE868 family.

The company claims the module is the first in its portfolio to offer centimetre-level accuracy, enabled by Real-Time Kinematics (RTK) and dual frequencies (L1/E1 and L5/E5). It improves location precision and reduces multipath effects across various industries, supporting RTK corrections via the RTCM protocol. The module can receive corrections from local base stations or service providers like Swift Navigation’s Skylark Precise Positioning Service, which pairs well with this module, ensuring reliable accuracy.

Combining the GNSS module with cellular modules and NExT connectivity services provides a complete high-precision solution that is suitable for applications in areas with wireless interference. Its robust design and optimized positioning engine guarantee high-quality navigation even in complex RF environments. The module’s compact size facilitates integration into wearables, drones, robots, fleet tracking, and precision agriculture.
