Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical ownership and delivery of assigned sensor systems, ensuring robust system requirements, high‑quality designs, able to complete technical documentation (including DFMEA/CFMEA)
  • Integrate and customise advanced sensor solutions (such as smoke sensing, condition monitoring) into the turbine platform. Able to model function as per system engineering principles and mature the existing smoke sensing system, closing requirements and compliance gaps
  • Clarify responsibilities by defining system boundaries and being able to learn new tools to work with supplier SW and internal SW/IO teams
  • Drive wide span of cross‑functional collaboration with project managers, functional, technical leads, and dependent teams to align interfaces, timelines, and technical expectations
  • Guide and support team members by providing technical direction, participating in reviews, and contributing to decision‑making across modules
  • Ensure structured planning and execution by tracking tasks in JIRA, documenting progress, performing root‑cause analysis, and delivering according to Vestas Way to Market processes
  • Contribute to cost‑out, lifecycle improvements, standardisation, and new technology development, ensuring solutions align with future architecture and business case processes. Focus on quality, simplification, and continuous improvement, especially in high‑urgency or tight‑deadline execution projects

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering with 4–5 years of relevant industry experience, or a Ph.D. with 3–4 years of experience; preferred fields include Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Experience in the wind industry is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in technical project management, knowledge of using BoM, effective handling of engineering change management processes
  • Proven system engineering and requirements management skills
  • Proven capability in conducting DFMEA for new products or system designs
  • Practical experience integrating and implementing products or systems, covering both electrical and/or mechanical aspects
  • Knowledge of EMC, environmental testing standards relevant to sensor/electronics
  • Solid understanding of electronics, sensors, and IO/SW interfaces for sensor systems; familiarity with wind turbine applications is a plus

  • High attention to detail in documentation, DFMEA/CFMEA creation, design reviews, and verification of robust engineering solutions
  • Adaptability and continuous learning mindset, quickly absorbing new technologies, adjusting to changing project scopes, and maintaining a focus on simplification and standardisation without over‑engineering
