Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design and engineering of semiconductors; designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components, or integrated circuits for electronic devices and other hardware systems. They determine design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to gather operational data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. Common competencies include analog, digital, mixed-signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC, etc.
- Expansion of knowledge within one’s own technical discipline for the implementation of guidelines/strategies. May include support roles with specialized technical knowledge; ongoing acquisition of knowledge and skills at a higher level.
- A fundamental understanding of the key business drivers; uses this understanding to perform one’s own work. Good knowledge of how one’s own team’s work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Can possess a degree of autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Solves problems in situations requiring sound technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults higher-level team members on issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A position at this level requires strong interpersonal skills and may be necessary to lead a junior team. Develops strong customer relationships for customer-facing roles and serves as a liaison between customers and GE Vernova. Explains technical information to others.
Basic Qualifications
- This role requires fundamental experience. The level of knowledge is comparable to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
