This role focuses on hands‑on board‑level design, bring‑up, and validation, working closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams on products that ship at scale.
This is an execution‑focused role with meaningful technical depth, suited for engineers with strong fundamentals who are ready to take ownership of significant hardware portions while continuing to grow toward senior technical leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to new product hardware design and development, including schematic design, board‑level implementation, component selection, and coordination with PCB layout.
- Prepare and release hardware deliverables such as: Product hardware specifications, Test plans, Design verification and manufacturing support documentation
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams (Power, SI, Mechanical, Thermal, EMC, Manufacturing, Test, and Software) during product definition, design, and validation phases.
- Participate in hardware bring‑up, validation, debugging, and failure analysis, including RCCA in collaboration with software and test engineers.
- Support manufacturing teams in transitioning products to pilot and mass production, helping resolve issues during build and ramp.
- Follow QMS processes and produce compliant engineering deliverables.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering.
- 5 ~ 10 years of experience in hardware design and development of complex electronic systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience in high‑speed board‑level hardware design.
- Solid understanding of: Signal integrity, Power distribution fundamental, Thermal considerations.
- Proficiency using Cadence PCB design tools (Concept / OrCAD, Allegro).
- Experience with common interfaces and protocols, including: DDR, PCIe, USB, SPI, I²C, UART, SGMII, XAUI etc.
- Experience working with Ethernet switching and MDI designs, including: Gigabit, Multi‑Gig, and 10GBASE‑T.
- Working knowledge of SerDes fundamentals, including: NRZ (10G, 25G), Exposure to PAM4 is a plus
- Familiarity with Power over Ethernet (PoE) technologies (PSE/PD, PoE+/++) is desirable.
- Experience with storage and memory interfaces, such as DDR4/DDR5, EEPROM, NAND, eMMC, NVMe.
- Exposure to CPU subsystems (ARM, Intel x86, AMD x86) and board‑level integration.
- Basic understanding of bootloaders, BIOS, and Linux/OS environments.
Lab & Debug Skills
- Hands‑on experience with lab equipment such as: Real‑time and TDR oscilloscopes, Logic analysers, JTAG tools, Spectrum analysers, BER tools, DCA etc.
- Ability to apply structured debug techniques and work through complex hardware issues.
