JOB: Junior Hardware Design Engineer At Articulus Surgical In Bengaluru

APPLY HERE

Location: Bengaluru

Company: Articulus Surgical

As a Junior Hardware Design Engineer, you’ll work across analogue and power electronics, PCB design, prototyping, testing, and debugging – taking designs from schematic to prototype and working closely with embedded, mechanical, and systems teams.

What you’ll actually be doing:

  • Designing analogue circuits including op-amps, filters, regulators, and signal-conditioning circuits.
  • Developing power electronics including DC-DC converters, motor drivers, and power management systems.
  • Creating schematics, selecting components, and developing multilayer PCB layouts.
  • Building and testing prototypes, supporting PCB bring-up, SMT implementation, and design iterations.
  • Debugging hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, and other lab equipment.
  • Conducting structured testing and root-cause analysis to identify and resolve hardware issues.
  • Implementing ESD, EMI, and EMC protection strategies for robust designs.
  • Maintaining schematics, BOMs, PCB files, test reports, and other engineering documentation.
  • Working closely with embedded, mechanical, and systems teams to integrate hardware into larger subsystems.
  • Contributing to R&D initiatives and exploring new hardware technologies.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You’ve got 0–2 years of experience in hardware design, electronics, robotics, or a related field – fresh graduates with strong hands-on projects are welcome.
  • You have a degree in Electrical, Electronics, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • You understand the fundamentals of analogue, digital, and power electronics.
  • You’re familiar with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or CAD, or similar.
  • You’re comfortable working with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other bench equipment.
  • You’ve built or worked on hardware prototypes and enjoy getting from a schematic to something that actually works.
  • You’re curious, hands-on, and the kind of person who wants to understand why something failed rather than simply work around it.
