Job Description
Designs, develops, and builds analogue circuits in advanced process nodes for analog and mixed signal IPs. Designs floorplans, performs circuit design, extracts chip parameters, and simulates analog behavior models. Creates test plans to verify design according to circuit and block microarchitecture specifications and evaluates test results. Verifies functionality to optimise the circuit for power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals. Collaborates cross-functionally to report design progress and collects, tracks, and resolves any performance and circuit design issues. Optimises performance, power, area, and reduces leakage of circuits. Works with architecture and layout team to design circuit for best functionality, robustness, and electrical capabilities.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a master’s degree or a PhD with experience in Electrical Engineering or any STEM related degree with analogue and mixed-signal circuit design experience.1 years of school experience or knowledge in one or more of the following: Tools for schematic entry, IC layout, and SPICE simulation. Designing mixed signal circuits including DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, Filters, bias circuits, regulators, and other analogue circuits.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Verilog A for analogue behavioural modelling, TCL, Perl, C, python or other scripting languages. Industry-standard design conventions and rules in analogue circuit design; awareness of techniques to reduce design risk.
