Must Have Skills

  • Experience in hardware design and development for automotive applications (Analog, digital and power supply design)
  • Experience in ORCAD capture for schematic development, Cadence Allegro for PCB development
  • Should be able to perform design calculations and simulations
  • Should be familiar with worst-case circuit design practices
  • Experience in hardware design for EMI/EMC compliance
  • Experience in analog, digital, and mixed signal board design
  • Experience in hardware testing and validation
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipments like oscilloscopes, Analysers, Power supplies, Digital Multimeters etc.,
  • Experience in preparing technical documents- Requirement Specifications, Design documentation, Test plan documentation, SOP creation etc.,

Good to have

  • High quality organizational and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of other eCAD tools
  • Exposure to automotive Industry with know-how of vehicle electronics
  • Motor control circuit devlopment
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 part 5 – Product Development at the Hardware level
  • Knowledge on Safety Analysis from hardware perspective
  • Should have well developed analytical ability and problem solving skills

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

  1. Design and perform hardware development based on requirement
  2. Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new applications. Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
  3. Ensure hardware meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
  4. Product certification (CISPER 25) EMI/EMC testing in test labs
  5. Integration activity.
