What you’ll do at Ather

  • Problem Solving:
    • Interact with the quality, process and production teams to identify and solve design, assembly and field bugs
    • Use root cause analysis methods such as Pareto chart, Ishikawa, 5 why, FMEA to identify the source of problems and propose intermittent and long-term corrective actions.
    • Come up with reliable, cost-effective, fast solutions within constraints in a production environment.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Develop, sustain and exploit data pipeline to monitor and preempt bugs and their status continuously.
    • Build Dashboards using Superset/Tableau/Data studio
  • Design:
    • Responsible for improving quality on all parts in our current generation of Battery packs
    • Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet Design Release, Testing and Production milestones
    • Would be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the component starting from Proto to Production and Sustenance.

Here’s what we are looking for

Domain Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Lithium-Ion Battery Pack Architecture and Design.
  • Capable of performing Root Cause analysis using techniques like 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why, DMAIC
  • Knowledge on Battery manufacturing process.
  • Awareness of relevant standards for Batteries

Tools:

  • Basic knowledge on any one major CAD and PLM software like NX, Solidworks, Catia, Teamcenter, Autodesk Fusion
  • Basic knowledge on performing Data Analysis using Excel, GSheet, Tableau, Python or relevant tools.
  • Knowledge on Battery Cyclers, Grafana, Superset is looked upon favorably

You bring to Ather

  • B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent with Specialization in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Li-Ion Battery Design and Development
