Autonomous Systems Engineer At Skytex

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate flight control algorithms
• Perform Software in the loop (SITL) and Hardware in the loop (HITL) simulations
• Implementation of new software or algorithms to support mission-specific capabilities
• Support flight operations team with post-flight data review
• Support aircraft-design development work and certification of UAV

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Robotics or Controls Engineering with 1+ years of experience or graduate with Master’s degree
• In-depth understanding of flight dynamics models
• Knowledge of classical or modern control theory
• Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, C++, or Python
• Development experience with PX4 or Ardupilot
• Experience with Git
• Proficiency with Linux

Desired

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, electronics, robotics, or controls engineering
• Experience with ROS
• 1+ years of professional experience with modeling or simulation
• Experience in development on embedded targets
• Experience in working on UAV communications
