Specific Responsibilities
Project Engineering:
- Design/Implemenation of controls from SAMA /Functional diagrams/Narratives
- Design/Implementation of graphics from sketches/snapshots/P&IDs
- Creation/modification of Ovation HW/Internal Point Database
- Implementation of Simulation logics for First-Pass/Process Test
- Virtual controller setup for testing purpose
- Testing of implemented controls and graphics & troubleshooting while testing
- Follow Deapartment Quality processes and procedures
- Scaling of Open loops & closed loops as per the ranges in the HW database
- Use various Productivity tools such as DBID tool, Audit Tool, Database Productivity Tool, Device builder etc.
- Conversion of controls and graphics of Third Party DCS/PLC systems to Ovation
- Third Party Communication
- Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) activities
- Run Project audit tool and prepare pre-FAT checklists and execute project cleanup as per audit tool results
- In-house Ovation Server / Workstation loading
- Upgrade versions of ovation systems
Field Services:
- Formation of Ovation structure
- Ovation system loading and re-loading at site and network troubleshooting
- Locate, differentiate, and analyze the problems arising in design of logic
- Locate, differentiate, and analyze the problems arising from field, hardware errors and DCS
- Maintain protocols for loop check, device check and panel charging
- Loop and device checking and necessary modifications in the logics, graphics and database as per customer /site requirements
- DCS erection supervision and commissioning at site
- Work closely with GEC and Global Emerson support team for troubleshooting
- Control loop tuning and commissioning of OLCS & CLCS
- Troubleshooting of DCS HW (e.g. Controllers, I/O Modules, DBS, OWS, EWS etc.)
- Configuration/troubleshooting of Historian, AMS and Advance Algorithms
- Perform third party communication. e.g. ELC, SLC, SCADA & OPC etc.
- Installation and troubleshooting of Enterprise Database Server (EDS)
- Regular site updates to customer, front office & GEC

Required Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Power Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in process industry preferably in power plant
- Good communication, interpersonal skill and drive for results
- Strong computer skills
- Able to work in a team
- Willing to travel India and abroad
- Should be able to resolve basic technical matters
- Self-motivation and to accept challenging assignments
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
- Knowledge of Power Plant Process
- Understanding of SAMA/Functional diagrams/P&IDs
- Knowledge of MS-Access & MS-Excel
- Knowledge of Third Party Communication Protocols
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC HW structure
- Knowledge of Logic & Graphics of Third Party DCS/PLC
- Tie-Back/Process Simulation, Testing & Troubleshooting
