Position Title: Deputy Manager – Manufacturing Automation and Digitalisation

Education: B.E/ B.Tech (Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation and Control)

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables

1. Understanding the testing process, technical discussion with the internal customer for the development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE). Be the principal architect of the testing solution
2. Selection of Power source, HV source, meters and other sensors.
3. Prepare an engineering specification document for ATE. Ability to prepare a cost estimate for ATE. Obtain the final quote from ATE supplier for the budget proposal or ordering.
4. Ordering activities of ATE, electrical & mechanical design approval, project planning, inspection at supplier end, commissioning at factory
5. Interact with software engineer during development of the test bench software, integration, and commissioning at manufacturing location.
6. Interact with Quality department for calibration and test bench approval & with manufacturing shop during test bench trials
7. Make the User’s manual comprising test bench drawings, fixture drawings, operating procedure, Bill of material etc. and handover to maintenance department.
8. Develop small scale LabVIEW program or changes in already existing code
9. Implement latest technology, new concepts in production testing to improve productivity. Get involved in VE, Lean, and POKAYOKE projects.

Functional Competencies

1. Understanding of switchgear testing process & equipment
2. Experience in development of Test benches for switch gear products like Contactor, MCB, COS, Starter etc.
3. Very good knowledge on AC/ DC sources and their applications in switch gear testing. Understanding of electrical schematics, control panel/power panel design.
4. Development of electricals and control systems for switch gear products testing. Programming skill in PLC /HMI, SQL, Labview 6. Excellent technical troubleshooting & problem solving skills.
