Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of new products/fibers according to the customer requirements.
- Performing tolerance analysis of various designs
- Preparing reports, documents, research papers, patents, etc.
- Writing and developing simulation codes
Preferred Experience and Qualification
M.Sc. Tech/M.tech in Optics/Photonics/Opto-electronics with 0-2 years experience.
Skills
- Good understanding of optics and electro-magnetic theory.
- Familiarity with tools like MATLAB/PYTHON.
- Experience with data analytics and machine learning.
- Familiarity with the electromagnetic computational methods like FEM/FDM/FDTD.
- Preferable if familiar with glass or fiber manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Good communication and presentation skills
Other details
- Planning DOE and performing experiments on the floor to validate the developed models and theories.
- Conduct research and development in the field of chemical/material science.
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical/material processes and products.
- Perform experiments and analyze data using statistical methods.
- Write technical reports and presentations to communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of chemical/material science.
- Preparing reports, documents, research papers, patents, etc.
- Writing and developing simulation codes for both steady and transient- condition
