Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electronic components, products, and systems for various applications.
  • Analyse and interpret data from electronic testing and simulations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical drawings and specifications of electronic systems and devices.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process for electronic components, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Work with software engineers to develop and integrate software and hardware components.
  • Identify and resolve hardware-related issues and faults in a timely manner.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning or broken electronic equipment.
  • Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repairs.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in electronics engineering and industry trends.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and quality assurance personnel.
  • Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports and document project progress and status.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet customer specifications.

Job Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field is required. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in electronics design and development, preferably in a similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, devices, and systems.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing and measurement tools.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for circuit design and simulation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations in electronics engineering.
  • Adequate knowledge of reading technical designs and blueprints.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
