Low-Cost and High-Quality 1 Watt DC-DC Converters

TRACO Power’s new TEA series of DC-DC converters consists of three unregulated 1 Watt DC-DC converters that have been designed to meet the requirement of isolated 5VDC Input / 5 VDC Output. This allows reduced component count and a fully automated manufacturing process at low-cost and high-quality. These three models are: TEA 1-0505, a SIP-4 model with 1500 VDC I/O Isolation; TEA 1-05050E,  a SIP-7 model with 1500 VDC I/O Isolation; and the TEA 1-0505HI, a SIP-7 model with 4000 VDC I/O Isolation.

These 1 Watt models offer 5V input (±10 per cent) and 5V @ 200mA outputs. Each of them features an operating temperature range from -40 degree Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius without derating; 78 per cent operational efficiency and 2 million hours MTBF (per MIL-HDB-217F) supported by a 3-year product warranty.

These models are available in the industry-standard SIP packages making them an ideal low-cost solution and are especially well-suited for high volume implementation in new projects where both cost and reliability are critical. The DC-DC converter models are in stock and available through distributors around the globe.
