Advanced Virtual Testing For 5G IoT

Anritsu Corporation introduced the Virtual Signalling Tester NR Software MX844030PC, a software-based test simulator designed for 5G IoT chipset and device development. This solution enables 5G IoT testing through a virtualized simulation environment on a PC, incorporating advanced architecture and Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology. By virtualizing traditional radio functions, the MX844030PC delivers a flexible, cost-effective, and scalable testing environment.

It streamlines a wide range of 5G testing processes, including DUT (Device Under Test) fault detection, performance assessment, current consumption analysis, interoperability verification, and security inspections. The virtualization technology not only enhances development efficiency and quality assurance but also paves the way for advancements in Beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G.

Key Features include:

  • 5G Virtual Network Simulation: Supports 5G testing in a sub-6 GHz band, including RedCap evaluation for IoT devices.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The RTD Lite GUI enables intuitive modifications to test parameters and procedures, enhancing efficiency.
  • Comprehensive Test & Analysis: Built-in Report/Log functions streamline device verification.

With the rapid growth of software-based testing, industries are increasingly adopting virtualization simulators to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and minimize risks. The MX844030PC eliminates the need for dedicated test hardware, allowing testing to be performed in a PC environment. This approach significantly lowers hardware costs, shortens test cycles, and facilitates quick feedback. Additionally, the software enables flexible test environment configurations, making it adaptable to real-world operating conditions.
