Nuvoton Technology unveils the NAU82110YG, a new Class-D mono audio amplifier designed to deliver powerful, high-quality sound with exceptional efficiency and minimal external components. Offering up to 18W output at 4 Ω or 10W at 8 Ω, this latest solution is purpose-built for a wide range of consumer applications including Bluetooth speakers, wireless doorbells, outdoor surveillance systems, and handheld gaming consoles.

With today’s consumers expecting crisp, immersive audio alongside energy-efficient design, it offers an ideal balance of performance, flexibility, and protection in a compact form factor. This advanced amplifier eliminates the need for an external output filter, the company’s proprietary spread-spectrum oscillator technology combined with slew-rate control, significantly minimizing EMI (electromagnetic interference). Delivering a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 103 dB and an outstanding power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of over 83 dB at 217 Hz, the NAU82110YG ensures clean, reliable sound reproduction — even in challenging environments.

Key features include:

  • Configurable Gain Control: Offers 32 fine-tuned gain levels via I²C, or five preset hardware options (0 dB, 20 dB, 24 dB, 32 dB, 36 dB).
  • Comprehensive Protection: Built-in overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage lockout, overtemperature, and anti-clipping protections safeguard both the device and connected speakers.
  • Flexible Input Support: Compatible with both single-ended and differential input modes.
  • Compact Package: Offered in a space-saving QFN20 form factor, rated for temperatures from -40°C to 105°C.

It also features a low quiescent current of 6 mA at 12V and a fast startup time of 4.6 ms via its chip-enable pin, making it ideal for battery-powered devices and designs where responsiveness is key. It sets a new benchmark for power-efficient, high-performance audio in modern consumer electronics.
