A system helps industrial vehicles move, carry loads, and avoid obstacles on their own without extra setup, making work faster and more reliable.

Thoro introduced CoreFlex, a modular autonomy stack designed for large-scale, infrastructure-free deployment across multiple industrial vehicle types. Built for flexibility and scale, CoreFlex improves autonomous navigation, pallet handling, and obstacle detection to improve efficiency and reliability in industrial environments.
A pallet truck fitted with Orbbec 3D cameras demonstrates the system’s point cloud-based perception in real time. CoreFlex combines sensors, lightweight autonomy compute, and plug-and-play interfaces within Thoro’s unified autonomy software, fleet management, and cloud platform. This full-stack design allows OEMs to shorten development cycles, reduce integration cost, and deploy a single autonomy system across different robot platforms without redesigning from the ground up.
A key enabler is Orbbec’s Gemini 336 stereo 3D camera, which provides precise depth sensing through the MX6800 depth engine to support accurate navigation and pallet handling. It maintains stable performance in complex environments, including low light, reflective surfaces, and dynamic scenes, using active infrared imaging. Its compact, modular design with standardized interfaces fits well with cross-platform deployment, while consistent performance across installations helps reduce edge-case errors and improve overall operational reliability.
Patrick Mondi, CEO of Thoro states, “When sensor performance is exceptional, the software fully delivers on its design intent. We commit to providing OEMs worldwide with safe, scalable, and easy-to-use industrial autonomy solutions. Orbbec’s superior hardware and software capabilities give us the confidence to scale applications, and we are excited to expand into new vehicle types and deployment scenarios.”
Brad Suessmith, Robotics Sales Manager at Orbbec, adds, “CoreFlex demonstrates the tremendous potential of modular autonomous systems. The chip-level depth sensing capability of Orbbec enables CoreFlex to achieve stable and efficient autonomous operations even in complex warehouse environments. We look forward to accelerating the industry’s shift toward intelligent, automated operations together.”
