What you can look forward to as a Specialist PCB Tool (Siemens Xpedition)
- We are looking for an experienced Siemens Xpedition Tool Specialist to own, develop and improve our PCB design environment. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in the Siemens Xpedition ecosystem who is passionate about process improvement, automation and engineering efficiency.You will work closely with
- PCB designers, hardware engineers, manufacturing teams and IT to optimise design flows, introduce automation, improve design quality and reduce manual effort throughout the schematic and PCB development lifecycle.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable engineering solutions that improve productivity across multiple projects and can be shared across teams and external partners.
- Support, maintain, and improve Siemens Xpedition PCB design tools and design flows.
- Administer and optimise PCB tools such as Siemens Xpedition, Valour NPI, Siemens EDM, HyperLynx SI and PI and HyperLynx DRC
- Develop and maintain schematic and PCB checking scripts to improve design quality.
- Introduce automation to reduce manual schematic and PCB review effort.
- Develop scripts, utilities and automated workflows to improve engineering efficiency.
- Integrate PCB tools with Windchill PLM to improve design release and data management. Work closely with PCB designers and hardware engineers to improve engineering processes. Create scalable automation solutions that can be reused across multiple projects.
Your Profile as Specialist PCB Tool (Siemens Xpedition)
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or industry experience equivalent.
- Relevant industry certifications and training in Siemens EDA tools, PCB design methodologies or engineering automation are highly desirable.
- Strong experience with Siemens Xpedition PCB Design Suite.
- Experience with Valour NPI, Siemens EDM, Xpedition SI and PI.
- Knowledge of HyperLynx DRC and DRC Analysis.
- Experience configuring PCB design flows and design rule checks.
- Knowledge of PCB design, manufacturing and design release processes.
- Experience working with PLM systems, preferably Windchill.
