A new line of industrial power supplies offers up to 95% efficiency, extreme temperature resilience, and compact DIN rail-friendly designs—ideal for modern automation and process control systems.

Weidmuller has introduced the second-generation PROeco II power supply series, targeting high-efficiency, compact, and durable power distribution for industrial automation and process control systems. Designed to meet the evolving needs of OEMs and system integrators, the units deliver conversion efficiencies of up to 95%, significantly reducing energy losses and thermal stress on nearby components. With extremely low idle power consumption, these supplies also help lower operating costs over time. All models support parallel operation of up to three units and are equipped with relay contacts and LED indicators for real-time monitoring of DC output status, enabling improved system availability and maintenance efficiency.
The key features are:
- Supports wide input voltage ranges:Single-phase: 85–264 VAC or 110–370 VDC and three-phase: 3×320–575 VAC or 450–800 VDC
- Suitable for global installations and standards
- Offers DC output options of 24 V and 48 V
- Power ratings range from 72 W (3 A) to 960 W (40 A)
- Scalable for various industrial applications
Built to perform reliably in harsh environments, the PROeco II series can start at ambient temperatures as low as -40°C. The compact design—starting at just 32 mm wide and 100 mm deep—offers a 15% space saving compared to the previous generation, optimizing DIN rail usage and allowing more flexibility in control cabinet layout. Reliability is a key focus, with the mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeding one million hours, thanks to a combination of high-quality components, effective thermal management, and robust electrical design.
Weidmuller also highlights the impact of internal temperature rise, component stress, and load balancing on MTBF, noting that the PROeco II’s high-efficiency design and use of durable materials help mitigate common failure mechanisms. The series is certified to CE, cULus, UKCA, and IECEE CB Scheme standards, ensuring compliance across international markets. With a blend of performance, durability, and installation flexibility, the PROeco II line aims to be a dependable choice for building compact, reliable, and efficient industrial power infrastructure. The new models are available now through Weidmuller’s distribution network and online catalog.
