The glasses are powered by Ambiq’s System-on-Chip (SoC) with Subthreshold Power Optimization Technology (SPOT) and ThinkAR’s voice-activated AR capabilities, providing a hands-free experience enhanced by Edge AI for personalized insights.

AiLens features Ambiq’s Apollo4 SoC with an Arm Cortex-M4F microprocessor running up to 192 MHz, enabling efficient graphics, audio, and AI model processing. It includes an AI-powered personal assistant that adapts to user preferences and supports OpenAI and third-party APIs. Apollo4’s 2D/2.5D graphics accelerator provides high-definition visuals with minimal power consumption.

AiLens offers connectivity with Google, Microsoft, and third-party platforms, allowing access to calendars, documents, and cloud storage. Its design ensures comfort, and the dedicated iOS app provides enhanced functionality and control. In partnership with SoftBank, AiLens targets key applications in healthcare, workplace productivity, retail and e-commerce, navigation and travel, and education and skill development.

AiLens supports core functions such as real-time language translation for multilingual communication, notes and reminders for students and professionals, and healthcare solutions that provide access to health data from wearables or devices. It also enhances workflow optimization by enabling hands-free management of tasks like checking phone notifications and accessing online resources with visual responses powered by OpenAI. With its design and processing capabilities, AiLens offers user comfort for extended use while minimizing external components, setting a new standard in the AR glasses market.

“Our partnership with Ambiq for AiLens underscores our commitment to innovation,” said Joe Ye, Founder of ThinkAR.

“Together, we’ve created a product that redefines the AR glasses market – being energy efficient, intuitive, and designed for the modern user,” said Paul Jones, President of the ThinkAR Japan Office.
