Engineers and technicians often struggle to calibrate instruments accurately across multiple measurement ranges. Traditional calibrators can be limited in precision, output types, or stability, making it difficult to verify high-resolution multimeters, clamp meters, panel meters, LCR meters, or non-contact tachometers. The new ZMMFC 5.5.3 from Zeal Manufacturing addresses these challenges by offering a versatile, stable, and precise multi-function calibration source in a single device.

The calibrator provides a wide range of outputs, including DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, AC current, frequency, resistance, capacitance, inductance, and RPM for non-contact tachometers. This makes it suitable for labs and workshops that need to calibrate instruments across multiple parameters without switching between different devices. High-resolution multimeters, up to 5½-digit models, can be calibrated accurately using its stable outputs.

Safety and reliability are key concerns in calibration work. The ZMMFC 5.5.3 includes under-voltage and over-voltage protection, overload and short-circuit safeguards, and pure sine wave AC output with variable frequency. These features prevent damage to both the calibrator and the instruments under test, ensuring safe operation even during complex calibration procedures.

The device is designed for convenience and efficiency. Separate output ports for voltage, current, resistance, inductance, and capacitance allow multiple instruments to be tested at once. Non-contact tachometers can be calibrated up to 60,000 RPM using optical outputs. Parameter and range selection is handled by a microcontroller with relays, while LED indicators clearly show the active setting. Fine adjustments can be made through decade switches and multi-turn potentiometers, giving users precise control over every output.

By combining versatility, precision, and safety, the company claims that the multi-function calibrator helps calibration labs and electronics testing facilities streamline their processes and ensure reliable, repeatable results across a wide range of instruments.
