General Summary

As a Qualcomm Hardware Systems Engineer, you will design a complete framework or system that influences the shaping of state-of-the-art mobile, edge, auto, AR/VR, compute, IOT, wearable products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, software, testing teams, etc.) to identify hardware testing needs and integrate components into products or systems.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies Hardware Systems knowledge to assist in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, other hardware systems, and/or electrical engineering applications.
• Provides input for defining processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
• Assists in conducting specialized analyses (e.g., feasibility studies, signal integrity, power integrity, equipment) to establish operating data and specifications.
• Develops basic system features and components to identify potential flaws or compliance issues and finds solutions.
• Contributes to a specific sub-system of chipset design or develops a specific component of a subsystem. 
• Defines sensitivity/integrity of specific component of design and ensures platform is compatible and supported by appropriate system requirements. 

Level of Responsibility

• Works under supervision.
• Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
• Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals.
