As a Hardware Developer – Simulation, you will play a key role in designing, simulating, and validating hardware systems with a strong focus on power electronics and magnetics. You will work closely with system architects and development teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable hardware designs using advanced simulation techniques.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and simulate hardware designs using PLECS for power electronics and magnetic components.
- Perform hardware simulation and development, with a strong focus on magnetics design and analysis.
- Automate simulations and model evaluations using Python (mandatory) and PyPLECS.
- Analyse failure mechanisms, reliability metrics, and perform FTA, FIT, and MTBF calculations.
- Conduct circuit-level simulations using LTspice.
- Support modelling, control, and numerical analysis using MATLAB / Octave.
- Validate design performance through simulation results and support design optimisation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability.
- Contribute to documentation, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Profile
- 8–15 years of experience in hardware simulation and development, preferably in power electronics.
- Mandatory expertise in PLECS and Python, including PLECS automation via PyPLECS.
- Strong experience in magnetics design and simulation.
- Hands-on knowledge of failure analysis, FTA, FIT, and MTBF calculations.
- Proficient in LTspice, MATLAB/Octave, and simulation-based validation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related field
