Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
- SMPS Topologies: Flyback, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC resonant converters
- AC-DC Converters: Design experience with 90%+ efficiency targets (100W-500W range)
- Power Factor Correction: CCM, DCM, and CrCM PFC topologies; active & passive techniques
- Magnetics Design: Transformer/inductor design, core selection, winding techniques
- Control Systems: Loop design, compensation networks, stability analysis
- PCB Layout: Power electronics best practices, EMI/EMC mitigation
- Tools: Altium/KiCAD, LTspice/PSIM, oscilloscopes, power analysers
