As an Electronics Intern, you will work alongside our electronics team on the boards, harnesses, and power systems that bring our UGVs to life. This is a hands-on role on the bench and on the robot, board bring-up, sensor integration, wiring, and the kind of patient debugging that finds the fault before the field does.
If you have soldered your own projects, debugged circuits past midnight, and have real instincts for how hardware behaves, this internship is built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in PCB bring-up, inspection, and bench testing of UGV electronic subsystems
- Build, route, and test wiring harnesses and interconnects for robot platforms
- Integrate and verify sensors: IMUs, encoders, current sensors, cameras, and GPS modules
- Support power distribution and battery management testing and validation
- Run structured bench tests and capture measurements with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
- Debug circuit-level faults across boards, connectors, and cabling
- Document schematics, pinouts, test procedures, and results clearly and systematically
- Support the integration and field teams during robot assembly and commissioning
Requirements & Qualifications
- Pursuing a B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, or Instrumentation Engineering
- Solid grasp of basic circuit theory and the ability to read and trace schematics
- Hands-on soldering skills and comfort with bench instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, regulated supply)
- Basic microcontroller exposure: Arduino, STM32, ESP32, or similar
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to document technical work clearly and keep records organised
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium, or Eagle)
- Exposure to battery systems and BMS
- Understanding of communication interfaces: CAN, UART, SPI, I2C
- Prior robotics, electronics, or technical competition project work
Eligibility and Background Requirements
- Please apply only if you are currently in the final year of your degree or diploma programme.
- You must be available for a full, year-long internship of 12 months; shorter durations cannot be considered.
- This is an on-site internship based in Pune, India.
- Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in electronics or robotics through projects, competitions, or coursework.
