In this role, you will develop high-reliability embedded firmware on STM32, TI, and Espressif microcontrollers, implement real-time control algorithms for power conversion systems, and work across hardware-software integration, communication protocols, and system validation.
About the Role:
- Develop embedded firmware on STM32, TI, and Espressif microcontrollers using C and C++.
- Implement real-time control algorithms for power conversion systems.
- Develop firmware architecture, state machines, fault handling, and safety mechanisms.
- Configure and optimise MCU peripherals such as ADC, DMA, PWM, CAN, Timers, and Flash.
- Implement communication protocols including CAN, bootloader functionality, alongside OTA update mechanisms.
- Perform board bring-up, hardware-software integration, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
- Analyse system performance using oscilloscopes, CAN analysers, and debugging tools.
- Support system validation, testing, and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with control, hardware, and validation teams during product development.
Skill(s) required:
- Strong Embedded C/C++ programming skills, along with proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with STM32, TI, and Espressif platforms.
- Working experience in both Baremetal and RTOS-based firmwares, with a good understanding of real-time systems and interrupt-driven firmware.
- Deep understanding of bootloaders, Flash memory, and communication protocols.
- Experience with ADC acquisition, PWM generation, and control-loop implementation.
- Working experience with IoT protocols including WiFi, BLE, MQTT, and WebSockets.
- Knowledge of CAN communication and automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with Git version control and experience using debuggers, oscilloscopes, and communication analysers.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to EV Mobility domain, automotive embedded systems, and EV power electronics (Preferred).
- Knowledge of PCB design principles, digital control systems, and power converter topologies (Preferred).
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink model-based development or UDS diagnostics (Preferred).
Eligibility
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development.
